2011 OB v School Lacrosse Match
OB V School Lacrosse Match - 10th September 2011
Saturday 10th September saw over 20 Old Girls arrive for the annual match against the Schools first team. With no goalie in our team, four of the girsl agreed to do a quarter of the match in goal and wow did they do us proud.
The first quarter of the match ended with the Old Girls leading 4 -1 and although the second quarter then started slowly with the school picking up a couple of ealry goals, the Old girls then showed their talent, speed and fitness to win the match 15 - 7.
This is now two victories in a row for the Old Girls team and we are looking forward to a new fixture in February against the school to help them with their preparations for Nationals.
Great thanks go to Amy Phillips for captaining the team and to Caroline Spooner, who although she could not play in this years match, once again helped out with arranging the fixture.
Thanks also go to the supporters for the day which comprised of Old Berkhamstedians, current pupils and parents as well as staff who watched from the sidelines, and not to forget Alison Bamforth and Jo Lupton for their support from the School in making this fixture happen.
