John Harrison - Former Head of Classics

John Harrison died on May 25th 2010 at the age of 90 in Poole Hospital after heart failure.  Former Head of Classics at Berkhamsted School, John was also housemaster of St John's and before that Cox's.  John leaves behind three children - all educated at Berkhamsted - Tim (Swifts, 1972), Mark (Swifts, 1979) and Jane (Burgh, 1970).

A gentle, wise and modest man; he will be much missed by his family and friends. A Service of Thanksgiving took place at St Mary's Church, Church Hill, Swanage BH19 1HU at 2 p.m. on Friday 4th June.
